Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars Forest – Midelt – Merzouga

Your 5-day tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel or Fes Saiss Airport (FES). The journey south towards the Sahara starts with a stop in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style houses. Continue to the beautiful Cedars Forest of the Middle Atlas, home to Barbary macaques.

Next, enjoy lunch in Midelt, a town strategically located between the Middle and High Atlas ranges. You will then drive through the scenic Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and canyons, before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, you’ll ride camels into the dunes to watch the sunset and spend the night in a luxury desert camp under a starry sky.

Day 2: Explore Merzouga – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga Lake

Rise early to admire the magical desert sunrise before enjoying a traditional breakfast. Today is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga region. Visit ancient kohl mines, meet nomadic families, and learn about their way of life.

Continue to Khamlia, a village known for its Gnaoua music, where you’ll enjoy live performances filled with rhythm and emotion. After lunch, walk through palm groves and visit Merzouga Lake, home to flamingos and other wildlife. This day combines culture, nature, and unique desert experiences.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast, depart Merzouga and head to Rissani, a lively town once an important trade hub. Explore its authentic souk before continuing to Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops.

Drive through the palm oases of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the spectacular Todra Gorges, with towering cliffs surrounding a narrow river. The journey continues through the scenic Dades Valley, with its unique rock formations and winding roads. This day blends cultural encounters with stunning natural beauty.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate

Leave Dades Valley and travel to Kalaat M’Gouna, the gateway to the Roses Valley, famous for its annual rose festival in May. After lunch, pass through Skoura’s palm groves, where you can visit Kasbah Amridil, one of Morocco’s best-preserved kasbahs.

Arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert” and a hub for the Moroccan film industry. Visit local film studios and the impressive Taourirt Kasbah before spending the night in a handpicked hotel.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

On the final day, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic ksar famous for its clay architecture and film appearances.

Continue your scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains, passing Berber villages and winding roads with panoramic views. After a lunch break, head towards Marrakech, the vibrant red city. Your tour concludes with a drop-off at Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) or your accommodation.
