Day 1: Fes to Merzouga

Your 4-day Morocco desert adventure begins early in the morning with pick-up from your hotel or Fes Airport. Travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing picturesque landscapes and small Berber villages with opportunities for photography and cultural encounters.

As you descend into the pre-Saharan plains, the scenery shifts dramatically until you arrive in Merzouga, gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, camels will take you deep into the desert for a memorable ride to your traditional camp. The evening includes a Moroccan dinner, Berber music, and stargazing in the magical silence of the Sahara.

Day 2: Merzouga Exploration

Rise early to witness the golden glow of sunrise over the dunes. After a Berber breakfast, begin your exploration of Merzouga’s unique desert culture. Visit a nomadic family to learn about their traditional lifestyle and resilience in the harsh desert environment.

You’ll also discover the art of Berber carpet weaving, passed down through generations, before enjoying a traditional lunch in an oasis. In the afternoon, set out on a thrilling 4×4 off-road adventure across the dunes and varied desert terrain, offering new perspectives of this breathtaking landscape. The day ends with a relaxing overnight stay in a Merzouga hotel.

Day 3: Merzouga to Ouarzazate

After breakfast, bid farewell to the desert and head west towards Ouarzazate. Stop first in Rissani, once the capital of the Tafilalet region, where you’ll explore its vibrant souk filled with spices, textiles, and local products.

Continue your journey to the spectacular Todra Gorges, with its towering cliffs and narrow valleys, a true natural wonder. After lunch, travel to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco” for its film studios and cinematic landscapes. Visit the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and iconic film location, before spending the night in Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Ouarzazate to Marrakech

On your final day, cross the dramatic High Atlas Mountains en route to Marrakech. The scenic drive offers countless panoramic viewpoints of snow-capped peaks and lush valleys, with every curve of the road revealing a new vista.

Along the way, stop in a traditional Berber village to experience centuries-old ways of life that remain unchanged. Your unforgettable journey concludes with your arrival in Marrakech, carrying with you cherished memories of the Sahara, the Atlas Mountains, and Morocco’s cultural richness.
